No matter how much I try to inform people, people will still sign timeshare contracts and people will still fall prey to internet scams.

If a scammer from another country provides written statements that your money will rapidly grow, you have no means to enforce that contract.
In contrast, a timeshare company very much intends to enforce its contracts.

As I listen, there are frequently advertisements for companies that purport to be able to get people out of timeshare contracts.
I am skeptical whether those companies can do what their advertisements say that they can do, but apparently they see a market for their services.
Keep in mind:

The value of a fee-simple home will generally rise over time.
The value of a car will usually decline over time until it reaches some minimal value.
A timeshare may be extremely difficult to even give away.
